Jill Moore, a 28 year old cheerleading coach brought cheerleaders to a hotel for sex with national guardsmen. Married, and a mother, she was accused with a male student at a different time. The students were above the age of 16 and there were no sex crime, but she was charged with bringing them alcohol and cigarettes. All around, highly unprofessional regardless of the fact that what she did was technically was not a sex crime.
Female Sex Offenders
Most women found guilty of sex offense do not receive nearly the harsh treatment of a male sex offender. Many of them are known to only receive probation after being found guilty of having sex with teenagers and children. Some of them will even play the role of victim to avoid a harsh punishment. The cases in these articles should serve to show the biases used in the legal system that help female pedophiles "get off". Watch out for words such as "affair", "love" and "seduce". These are light compared to the inflammatory words often used when speaking of male sex offenders. If you turn on any mainstream news station, the only sex offenders they show are male. The only females shown are the occasional pretty ones. This anti-male bias creates stereotypes and double-standards. This is without mentioning how quick the media is to portray females as victims in the news and in fiction, particularly if the victimizer is male. If women are equal to men, should they not be held to the same scrutiny and punishments as us? Or, on the other side of that same coin, is it possible that males in the prison system are treated harshly like animals and not offered enough sensitivity to be given a good opportunity to be rehabilitated? It is hard to tell. Are men given too much stereotype in the media? Either way, the gender bias is just sad and unacceptable.

Mom Who Had Sex With Teen Gets 9 Years
A homeless woman meets a family nice enough to take her in. She has sex numerous times with the family's the teenage son (which the article calls an "affair" - would they use that word if it was a male predator?), she brings the boy and his friends alcohol, marijuana and some porn. For this, she only recieves 9 years. Again, prison is not rehabilitating, but let us not doubt that the sentence for a male who did the same thing could be worse.
More women charged in sex cases
A woman was arrested for having sex with a 15 year old boy who she eventually wound up pregnant from and married him! The double-standard treatment boys receive after being victims of sex crimes is actually addressed. It mentions how even if a boy is physically ready, he may not be emotionally ready. I have read in other places this is true for girls as well. Maybe the only difference between the boy victim and the girl victim is the boy is taught there is something wrong with him if he does not accept sex whenever offered, as this USA Today article mentions..
Female sex offender escapes jail term
New Zealand woman avoids a jail sentence under supposedly gender-neutral sex offense laws in her country after having sex with a run-away boy who spent a night at her house. I can almost hear the double-standard talk from a lot of women now: "Oh, he's a 13 year old boy, he liked it, it's OK". As if it could not possibly cause a boy to have a distorted view of healthy relationships, or even worse, lasting psychological damage.
