She slashed his throat, an injury which required 13 stitches and hospitalization. The girl is in juvenile detention and will have to appear in court. It is not yet decided if she will be tried as an adult. This brings up the question of how many violent teenage boys are tried as adults compared to how many violent teenage girls are. Would it be a shock if there was a bias about that, too?
