The article mentions that the Salt Lake, UT court is treating as both sex offender AND victim. She is appealing this with the supreme court. The boy did not appeal. The article does not call the boy a victim even though he was charged the exact same was as the girl. This is a strange case and should most likely be an issue for the parents, not the courts or the media.
